Leonard Hill
A 1970 graduate, Leonard was a three-time state champion (two titles in track, one in cross country) and went on to star at Oregon State University where he excelled in the steeple chase, becoming only the second American under age 18 to finish the event in under nine minutes. He was the National Masters Champion in the event three times. Later in his career the marathon become his event of his choice. He won the Portland Marathon four times, ran over 50 marathons including Boston and New York and particpated in the U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials three times.
