The Skyline Conference is finding out that you don't want to dual with the Phoenix Pirates.
A 37-28 victory over Mazama on Wednesday night was the latest dual triumph for the Pirates, who are undefeated in conference events so far this season. PHS will host a night of duals with the entire Skyline on January 31.
Four pins, a major decision and three decisions fueled the victory. Yovanni Chavez (120 pounds), Elijah Santana (152), Elijah Gilatioto (170) and Ishmael DeLaTorre (285) all scored pins. Ezra DeLuca (113) recorded a major decsion while Elijah Leonis (126), Mike Walker (138) and Dane Johnson (182) all scored decisions on the night.
The Pirates return to action Saturday when they will take part in the Eagle Point Invitational.
